President Muhammadu Buhari declares war – President Muhammudu Buhari has declared war on Nigerian movie pirates after he ordered law enforcement agencies in the country to up their game in tackling the menace called movie piracy.

After a briefing from the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan and her directors in Aso Rock Villa, Buhari denounced pirates who he said want to reap what they did not sow.
He said: “Nollywood is making progress. We should work with them. Unless they are backed, they will be ruined by pirates who want to reap where they have not sowed.
“They have built n industry with their own sweat. It is, therefore, incumbent on us to give them the necessary support”.
Buhari said the main players of copyright piracy, their sponsors and collaborators must be prosecuted, tried and brought to justice.
The president also asked the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)to use their wide reach to ensure they generate funds that will make them self sufficient.
Meanwhile popular actress, Shan George has threatened to kill movie pirates in the country with juju, fire and thunder over her new movie which she is about to start shooting.
The screen diva explained that, she is using the little money she has to shoot this movie and any pirate who tries to duplicate her movie, will see the fight of her village god.
