Hey, fans can get pretty crazy and it is not uncommon for a really famous celebrity to have to fight off swarms of adoring people. From crowds that challenge body guards to concerts that get bombarded with freaky fans, this is a list of some of the most high-profile celebs out there.

20. Brad Pitt Brad Pitt must be used to people throwing themselves at him. Yet sometimes it can get pretty scary for the actor. A guy was even put into jail for rushing Brad Pitt and injuring the actor’s face. It all happened during the premiere of Maleficent in Hollywood. Brad was with his wife Angelina Jolie, and he was not hurt, but everyone was on the alert. The rushing culprit was Vitalii Sediuk from the Ukraine. He was actually the same dude who attacked Britney Spears, America Ferrera, and a multitude of other celebs. Wait, who is this weirdo? Get him out of here!

In Brazil, Beyonce was almost totally taken out! She is so accustomed to hyped-up fans, and is actually pretty cool with her fans. She hugs them, sings with them, dances with them, and lets them get a little touchy-feely. Yet in Brazil, she was totally blindsided. She forgave him after he grabbed her and tried bring Beyonce with him. She was lifted off the stage by him and pulled into the crowd. But she as okay and her body guards were threatening to remove the dude from the premises before Bey said it was all good. She even kept on singing like a true pro!

18. Britney Spears Everyone loves Britney Spears, right? She also has a huge fan following and they continue to support her through all of her victories and struggles. Yet there are still plenty of absolutely crazy fans who try to get all up in Brit’s grill. When she was performing at a concert and singing the song “Womanizer,” a guy jumped onto the stage and just went full-on crazy in front of her. She was scared and creeped out. This actually happens a lot to Britney. During a performance in Oregon, Brit was attacked by a super-fan again. She played it off and continued with her Femme Fatale Tour.

17. Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus will never get a break, whether she is portraying herself as a good girl or a bad girl. Back in 2011 when she was still an okay celebrity, she was singing at a concert in Melbourne. She was getting her peace and love on, when some weird dude jumped onto the stage, ran down the catwalk to Miley and grabbed her from behind. Fortunately, Miley’s body guards were right behind him and they made a grab for him while Miley was scared out of her mind. She screamed “Oh my God!” and quickly ran away backstage while the crowd went wild.

16. Kim Kardashian The Kardashians are no doubt adored by so many fans, although we are not quite sure why. Yet, Kim, perhaps the most famous of the Kardashian clan, was bombarded with a fan-crowd struggle during Paris Fashion Week. A fan went absolutely crazy and lunged at her. He took hold of her legs and Kim actually lost her footing. She was with her mother, Kris Jenner, as well as Kanye West. Those two looked absolutely dumbfounded and did not know what to do. This was actually the same super-fan who attacked other celebs, such as America Ferrera. Is he just some crazed maniac or what?

15. Justin Timberlake It turns out that Justin Timberlake really is a lover, not a fighter. So when two crazed fans who were also fans of each other wanted to have a moment they would not forget, the singer was glad to oblige. The two fans attended his concert in Kentucky and were actually a couple. The boyfriend had asked Timberlake’s people about a month before the concert if it would be okay for him to propose to his girlfriend on the stage at the concert. It was okay with Timberlake, so after the singer finished his song “That Girl”, he brought the boyfriend and his girlfriend onto the stage. The fans stole the star’s spotlight, but he was cool with it!

14. Selena Gomez While in Paris, France, Selena Gomez was attending the Parisian Fashion Week. She was seriously mobbed by fans, to the point where she could barely breathe! There were paparazzi and her own body guards were even losing track of the young celeb. There were loads of cell phone cameras, paparazzi cameras, and the celeb looked really scared as she tried to get through the crowds. It looked like pure madness. Of course, Selena gets moved all the time, poor girl. While she usually looks quite graceful in public, there are times where getting mobbed by groups of people gets tiresome and downright annoying.

While at a concert in San Jose, Morrissey was attacked while performing on the stage. A fan just climbed onto the stage and proceeded to give the singer a gentle hug. Okay, cool, we guess. Security seamlessly escorted her off the stage. But almost immediately afterward, a male man jumped onto the stage and tried to hug (or attack) Morrissey. Then another guy climbed onto the stage and took his shirt off and hugged him. Then about ten more fans tried to get their hands on him. At this point, the music stopped and all hell broke loose. Absolute pandemonium.

12. Madonna Madonna has loads of fans, of course. Yet she was getting a bit frightened by the whole thing, and when she was presented with stalking fans, she boosted her security measures in order to keep herself safe. Fans had been appearing on her property in London and as many as 20 fans would just sit outside her house all day long and take pictures or wait for autographs from Madge. It was absolutely terrifying for the singer, her hubby, and kids. When she gets into her car, fans swarm the vehicle and scream her name. Talk about dedication…or sheer craziness.

11. Paula Abdul This is quite a frightening and sad example of die-hard fans of celebrities. Paula Abdul had an intense admirer, Paula Goodspeed, who referred to herself as J.T. on packages and letters she sent to the former America Idol judge. By the way, Abdul now serves as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance . For three years, Goodspeed had been auditioning for American Idol , but she kept getting denied, and she even received harsh words from fellow judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. Goodspeed was later found dead in a car near Paula Abdul’s home from an apparent suicide.

She was absolutely freaked out by the surprise attack, in which a guy climbed onto the stage while the Canadian singer was not looking. He tried to give her a full frontal hug, and she screamed bloody murder. The Brazilian crowd was scared for her, but she quickly recovered and laughed it off before continuing on with the show. In another instance, Avril was chased and stalked by a fan at night. He kept following Avril and her friend and kept asking to take a picture. She ran, but he kept following her.

9. Justin Bieber The Biebs was performing in Dubai when a crazy adoring fan attacked the young baby-faced singer. When he was nearing the end of his concert, a fan ran on the stage, grasps Justin from behind in a huge bear hug, and tried to take a selfie with the pop star. The Biebs was playing on a grand piano at the time and the instrument flipped over from all of the commotion. Justin’s security team quickly scrambled into action and grabbed the weird fan and escorted him out of the arena. Despite all of the craziness, the singer seemed to be okay and went on with the show.

This is a downright scary example of a celeb being attack. A man in Manchester, England was plotting an evil plan to take out Joss Stone. Like, permanently. The man ended up getting jailed and it was revealed that he had an elaborate plan to decapitate Joss Stone and kill her. The man received a sentences of 18 years behind bars. He wanted to kidnap Joss Stone first and get her money, about 11 million pounds. He had even driven his car to Stone’s home while toting around a whole cache of weaponry. Creepy! Fortunately Joss her neighbors notified police.

7. Demi Lovato While performing at a concert in Paraguay, South America, Demi Lovato was bombarded with crazy fans. This came just a week or so after she was attacked by fans in Venezuela. We guess South America is just chock-full of fans of pop music. Anyway, when Demi let the crowd get close to her during her Paraguay concert, one of the fans hopped up onto the stage and hugged her. Security was quick to act and get that fan out of the vicinity. Demi then left the stage until her security team rounded up the troops and ousted anyone who looked cray-cray.

While performing in Acapulco, Mexico, Selena Quintanilla was attacked by a rabid mob of fans. We always wonder how fans manage to get onstage. What happened to the security. As Selena continued to sing and dance on stage, fans kept coming up and trying to dance with her, hug her, and kiss her. Selena was really good about it, and kept singing gracefully, not even missing a note. Yet why was there no one there to stop these crazy fans? Even other people in the audience were confused as to why people kept coming on stage and trying to touch the singer.

5. Kendall Jenner Okay, so fans can be a bit touchy-feely, and the French are known for kissing each other on the cheek, right? So it makes sense that a fan of Kendall Jenner’s in Paris was up for smooching the young celeb. While Kendall was strolling through Paris, an adoring fan ran up to her and tried to give Kendall a kiss on the cheek. Of course, Kendall cowered away from the fan and looked really surprised. She had a security guard with her, so the fan was quickly taken hold of and escorted away from Kendall. Even so, the young model handled the situation quite well.

4. Paris Hilton One of Paris Hilton’s biggest fans sent the hotel heiress and celebrity airhead a classic model Cadillac. She even sent it straight to Paris Hilton’s home. So when Paris did not accept the ravaging gift, the fan went crazy. He arrived at her house and smashed in the windows on the Cadillac. That is what you get do turning down a gift, Paris! Who do you think you are? Paris said that the gift was from a fan (a male fan) who had been bothering her and stalking her for quite some time. Well, we guess the guy just can’t take “no” for an answer.

3. Bill Gates Bill Gates was heading into some sort of conference when he was attacked by pie. The founder of Microsoft was in Brussels on February 4, 1998 when some dude from Belgium threw a cream pie in his face. Then he ran off. The culprit was Noel Godin, who has actually thrown pies and cakes at celebrities in the past. He says that his pie-throwing missions are symbolic attacks again the power of hierarchies in society. Wow, that is pretty deep for a cream pie in the face. Since Microsoft is a monopoly, Godin felt the urge to throw the pie right in Bill Gates’ face.

Simon Cowell shot to fame in the United States after being a scathing host on the singing competition show American Idol . He then left that show and moved to Britain’s Got Talent , another singing competition reality show. During one of the performances on the show, two contestants were singing a duet together; a beautiful classical opera-style song. While they were singing, a woman came up onto the stage and starting throwing eggs at Simon. She appeared to be smiling, and no one could figure out who she was. Someone quickly climbed onto the stage and removed her. The duet kept on singing.

1. Paul McCartney Paul McCartney, one of the last remaining men from the iconic pop quartet The Beatles, was caught in a scary situation in Mexico City. The people went loco and a mob attacked his tour bus. The mob was made up of young people who climbed onto the tour bus and started jumping up and down on the roof. Paul McCartney was already inside the vehicle and was helpless to their antics. He was 67 years old at the time of the occurrence. He was “shaken up” by the raging mob, but the cops were able to intervene and remove the youths.
