Most unfortunate celebrity couples of 2015 - Hollywood relationships are constantly being formed between actors, singers and other entertainers. But this year alone has proven itself to be quite an unfortunate one for many celebrity couples, merely because of the scandals that took part in their romance. Some wives would go on to learn that their husband was cheating on them with other people — including a man — while others felt it was finally time to end a toxic relationship after ten long years.

Yes, 2015 has proven itself to be quite a destructive year for many couples; miserable, hapless and luckless would be the most fitting words to describe these famous celebrity relationships.

10. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick

Kourtney Kardashian was never going to win this battle, was she? Having convinced herself thatScott Disick would one day change his ways and be the great father (and potential husband) she wanted him to be, the couple ended up splitting. Kourt learned that Scott had allegedly been cheating on her while she was busy taking care of their three kids. Thankfully enough, Kardashian had the backbone she needed to kick Scott out of the house and dump him for good. It’s just sad that it took her close to a decade to realize he was not the one for her.

9. Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik

Perrie Edwards wasted four years of her life with One Direction’s Zayn Malik, convinced that the twosome would last forever, get married and have children. Everybody knew that Zayn and Perrie could not last, simply because Malik had secretly cheated on the songstress in the past, and several news outlets exposed him on it. A man who cheats on a woman once, is likely to do it over and over again. Malik was said to have dumped Perrie via text, and while nobody should have to find out their partner no longer wants to be with them through a message on their phone, Zayn made the right decision. Better to dump her now then cheat on her some more and dump her later, right? Still unfortunate.

8. Lil Wayne and Christina Milian

This couple was never going to go anywhere Christina Milian thought (was hoping) it would go. The R&B artist was convinced that she would probably settle down with Lil Wayne, and perhaps even have several of his kids in the near future, but the blindsided fact came when the rapper allegedly called it quits. It’s pretty unfortunate for a woman to make all these plans, thinking that her relationship is better than ever, only to then learn that the man wants out.

7. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

After ten years of marriage, Jennifer Garner left Hollywood in shock when she announced her divorce from husband Ben Affleck. The story was pretty big in itself — the twosome had been together for over a decade; they were looked upon as role models to other celeb couples in the industry. But things got even crazier when news outlets ran a story, claiming that Ben had cheated on Jennifer with the nanny. Garner went on to fire the nanny soon after, which sorta confirmed the story in itself.

6. Ariana Grande and Big Sean

Big Sean was so over his romantic relationship to Ariana Grande right when she started pulling her diva moves on him. Having reportedly demanded to be flown via private jet to one of the rapper’s shows, Sean was stunned at how much Ariana depended on money and lavish things in life. Anybody who is familiar with Sean’s music would know that the rapper isn’t a huge spender, which pretty much stems from his upbringing in Detroit. He eventually realized that while it is unfortunate to end the romance, he knew that breaking up with Ariana would save him a lot of money in the long run.

5. Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger

Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger had a lot of people fooled when reports claimed the twosome were talking about marriage at one point. Miley was never really accepted by Patrick’s side of the family, media outlets claimed during the time the couple was dating one another. While both of them were pretty loved up, it is believed that family issues eventually tore them apart, causing Patrick to lose interest in Miley and start hanging out with some of his ex-girlfriends.

4. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have been married since 2002. Thirteen years! So, it shouldn’t come as a shock to suddenly find out that Gwen’s husband has not been faithful to the singer all along. Several sources revealed how Rossdale had allegedly cheated on the 45-year-old with multiple women, including one of his best friends… who was a man. Gwen is not naive, she would have most likely been aware of the cheating affairs, but as many women do, they forgive their husbands a couple of times before it becomes overbearing and tiring.

3. Charlize Theron and Sean Penn

Everybody considered this relationship as the weirdest Hollywood romance in years. Charlize Theron couldn’t have chosen a better man to somewhat ruin her good girl reputation, could she? People were stunned to learn that the actress chose Sean Penn as the leading man in her life. And as everybody had already gathered that the twosome wouldn’t last, following an alleged brief engagement, the couple ended up parting ways. It was never explained why the two broke up, but Charlize clearly had enough.

2. Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson

Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson were a pretty cute couple. Nobody would have thought they would break— oh, of course, we did. These two were constantly breaking up and getting back together. Nonetheless, it was quite unfortunate that when they did separate one final time, Cody went on to do his own thing, while Gigi ended up falling in love with Joe Jonas… a supposed good friend of Simpson’s. How unfortunate that she couldn’t have found anybody else, right?

1. Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol

Britney Spears has never really had luck with men. Or, wait. Let’s take that back. She did have a good run with Justin Timberlake — before she decided to allegedly cheat on him, leading him to pen the song Cry Me A River . The songstress would go on to fall in love with Charlie Ebersol, but the relationship didn’t even last a year before the twosome would end up calling off their brief romance with one another. It’s unfortunate on so many levels; Britney keeps introducing all of these men to her children, who end up being dumped every other month or so. She needs to get it together.
