Chlamydia is one of the most common STDs known in the developed countries today, and it can affect both men and women adversely. Chlamydia’s inclusion in this list is because more often than not, people suffering from this STD do not know that they have it, especially when it is in its early stages.
The lack of symptoms early enough leads to people getting re-infected and infecting others without knowing. After a while in the body, Chlamydia can damage a woman’s reproductive system and cause a painful burning sensation in both men and women during urination.
A doctor can easily treat Chlamydia with an antibiotic, though the treatment needs to be administered before serious damage has been caused.
