With an intensely powerful cheer coming from the cheerleaders, the attending crowd will surely react and give off a resounding roar that will no doubt energize the team to go for one more goal, to get that winning point or to just play harder and better. This is the essence of cheerleading and those who are chosen and bestowed this honor are respected by their peers and relied upon. Cheerleading then holds a big responsibility to the team playing and the fans who cheer them on.
If you want to become a cheerleader, you need to have the charisma of a movie star, the moves of a pop star, the voice of a leader and the congeniality of a politician running for office. You need all these to work up the crowd. Maybe it comes as no surprise that many of our favorite movie stars, performers and even one powerful politician, were once cheerleaders in their younger years.
12. Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock, the German speaking star of Gravity and Ms. Congeniality, looks so much younger than her age. She was already a cheerleader for her Alma Mater, Washington-Lee High School back in 1982 but her old cheerleading uniform could probably still fit her svelte body perfectly today. In a naughty response, Bullock said that she still has her uniform and could perhaps use it for a “sexy night.” She also added jokingly that she wants to be “buried in it.” Her lighthearted way of talking about her cheerleading past and its raunchy implications today is very much worthy of someone who was chosen by her graduating class as the person who will “most likely brighten your day.”
