19. Serena Williams – Tennis
Serena Williams is one of the most loved female athletes of all time. Born in 1981, she became the #1 ranked 10 and under in the United States Tennis Association. Since this remarkable debut she beat out her sister Venus for the Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open in 1999 at the age of 17. Serena plays the sport alongside her older sister Venus and together they’ve won the 2000 Olympics doubles competition with their father as their coach. In 2002 Serena won 4 straight Grand Slam titles, making her only one out of six women to ever do this- clearly marking herself in a league higher than her sister. Notably, she is also a certified fashion designer (her fashion line is named Aneres, Serena spelled backwards), an actress and model. Rumour also has it that she dated the musician Drake! With that hot bod, who wouldn’t want her?
18. Alana Blanchard – Surfing
Alana Blanchard is a professional American surfer and model. Though better known for her modelling nowadays, she has some serious titles under her belt. She has won the Women’s Pipeline Championships in Hawaii, the Rip Curl Festival Junior Pro in Spain, The Roxy Pro Trials in Hawaii, The Billabong Pro Pre Trials in Maui and the Volcom Pufferfish Surf Series in Kauai. Not only that, but she designs and models Rip Curl swimwear, more specifically wetsuits for surfing. Her character has also been played on screen in the movie Soul Surfer. In the film, surfer Bethany Hamilton loses her arm in a shark attack. Hamilton is one of Blanchard’s good friends in real life and Blanchard was there the day the attack happened.
