24. Waje – Left For Good Ft Patoranking
Waje Waje Waje, arguably one of the best vocal power houses in Nigeria teamed up with Dancehall maestro, Patoranking to unleash “Left For Good”, which talks about romance gone bad with a hook that will send chills up your spine. Waje whose vocal range covers three octaves did justice to the E-Kelly produced Reggae/dancehall tune. Not your everyday Waje type song still she nailed it perfectly.
23. Reekado Banks – Katapot
Mavin Records act and 2014 Headies “Rookie of the Year” award winner Reekado Banks, is undeniably one of the most gifted new school acts. Reekado Banks premiered this song a day to Valentine’s Day, coincidence? I don’t think so. The laid back tune talks about love and how much true love conquers all odds. The subtle lyrics were backed by Don Jazzy’s gifted production, celebrated with Synths and Strings to elevate the message of the song. The song was followed by a self-explanatory video. Katapot surely deserves a spot on our top 50 list.
