2. Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior II
The title vs. title match between Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior blew the roof off the Toronto Skydome at WrestleMania 6. After the Warrior prevailed in “The Ultimate Challenge” Vince McMahon booked the next year’s supercard at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. He had to be anticipating a huge crowd for the expected rematch, but it never happened. Allegedly, McMahon wanted to use Sgt. Slaughter in the main event against Hogan due to how much heat Slaughter was getting for being an “Iraqi sympathizer”, so plans for Hogan vs. Warrior II were scrapped. The official story was that President Jack Tunney ruled that they could not face each other again due to injury concerns. The WWF was not able to sell out the Coliseum, so WM was moved to the LA Memorial Sports Arena due to low ticket sales, although the WWF claimed the move was due to security concerns about Sgt. Slaughter.
