For some, it can seem like a certain year just spirals out of control. One small blunder happens and then another, and another, and another. For others, it may be one huge mishap that they pay for all year along. When you are a celebrity, you have the added pressure of experiencing your terrible year in front of the world, which can make the painful blunders even worse.
The 10 people on this list vary in star power and in what exactly ruined their 2015. One is a reality star who is slowly becoming less relevant, which is poison to a reality star’s career. Another is a news reporter who was caught in a lie. A few have gone or will be going to jail, and a few are dealing with divorce. As you can see, a lot can go wrong in a single year. Whatever may have ruined their year aside, to the 10 celebrities on this list, here’s looking at 2016:
10. Brian Williams
Getting caught in a lie is embarrassing for anyone, but it’s especially embarrassing for the head of the no. 1 evening news show. This year, NBC’s popular news anchor, Brian Williams, admitted that he exaggerated his position in a helicopter experience in Iraq. People were outraged, as it seemed that someone who was delivering them their nightly news was a liar. Williams was suspended for six months without pay. Now, 2015 wasn’t all bad for Brian Williams. He had the pleasure of watching his daughter, Allison Williams, one of the stars of Girls, marry Ricky Van Veen, the co-founder of CollegeHumor. The cherry on top: Tom Hanks officiated the ceremony.
