11. Carl Lewis
We must include an athlete on this list. Carl Lewis is a world-famous Olympic medalist track runner. He claims he has ran the best race of his life after switching his diet to a vegan one in 1991, at the World Championships. It must be true as he set the world record in that year. He switched to a vegan diet with the help of his doctor and nutritionist. His transition wasn’t easy, but drinking lemon juice and eating lots of lentils helped him out. He certainly hasn’t regretted it.
