Nigerians on Forbes 2016 list of world billionaires – The influential magazine Forbes has released its 2016 list of the richest people in the world and five Nigerians are featured on the list. Bill Gates is still number one on the list with a net worth of $75 billion, despite being $4.2 billion poorer than a year ago.

The Forbes 2016 world’s billionaires list profiled 1,810 billionaires across the globe, down from 2015’s record of 1,826. Two hundred and twenty-one people fell off the list, while 198 newcomers joined the ranks.
Turbulent stock markets, the fall in oil prices and a stronger dollar shuffled the ranks near the top of the list of world billionaires.

5. Abdulsamad Rabiu
He was ranked the 1577 richest person in the world with a net worth of $1.1billion.
