2. Phillip Seymour Hoffman – Died of Overdose
Robert Vineberg was arrested in New York a few days after the death of Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman, an outstanding actor, had suffered an overdose after battling a long-lasting heroin addiction. Vineberg was his long-time dealer, who stated that, at the time of his death, Hoffman was using more than double the normal amount of a typical heroin addict.
Could be part of the reason as to why police found Hoffman with a needle still in his arm and with 73 packets of heroin around him. Hoffman started using drugs shortly after he graduated from university in 1989, stating that “It was all that drugs and alcohol, yeah, It was anything that I could get my hands on… I liked it all.”
Friends who were close to the star state that Hoffman was spending upwards of $10,000 a month on heroin, as well as buying up to 50 bags at a time of the class A drug, Oxycontin.
