Ejekam, who also worked with Actis, the firm which constructed the Ikeja mall in the Alausa area of Lagos, is in trouble for an extortion scheme with Jody Kriss, a former top official of the Bayrock group.
The Herald reports that Ejekam and Jody Kriss are in a legal battle following accusations that for the past three years, they had being central players in the $1 billion extortion scheme against Bayrock, Donald and Ivanka Trump, as well as several other top individuals, law firms, politicians, and real estate companies.
The report said Ejekam fled the US to avoid the case damaging his career. He thereafter took up a job with Actis as its West Africa director of real estate. He was however fired after Actis learnt of the issue.
Lawyers to Ejekam and Kriss are themselves in trouble.
