Arochukwu City (Abia State):
A good place to visit in Nigeria would be Arochukwu which is also called Aro-Okigbo. It is the third largest city in Abia. What makes this city unique is that it was one of the cities in the southern protectorate to be targeted by the British colonial government and the city boasts of many tourist sites.
There is the mystic Ibini Ukpabi shrine, the famous slave routes and relics of the slave trade era. The shrine is also referred to as the Long Juju shrine and back in the days it acted as a temple of judgment for those facing trial. Some features of the shrine include the Throne of Judgement, the Tunnel of Disappearance, and the Red River. Although primarily a religious spot, it is an area of attraction for many tourists visiting Abia.
