Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and wife, Edith Okowa, have both tested positive for Coronavirus. This is coming barely a week after their daughter tested positive to the deadly virus.
The governor made the announcement on his social media platforms today, Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication,” he tweeted.
Recall that the governor had gone into self-isolation with his wife last week after he revealed that one of their daughters tested positive for the highly infectious disease.
Okowa would be the sixth Nigerian governor to have tested positive to coronavirus that has infected 25,694 people and claimed 590 lives in Nigeria, as of June 30.
