Special adviser on media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, has revealed how he survives weekly by spending 20,000 naira.
In an article known as “living on shoe string budget”, he revealed how he has been surviving amid the naira scarcity situation in the country.
He stated that he was among those that went to deposit his money at the bank when CBN first announced the ban on the old naira notes.
He added that ever since then, he has been spending 20,000 naira weekly as his budget.
In his words:
“The Central Bank of Nigeria later secured a ten days extension of the deadline from President Muhammadu Buhari, which has now been further extended by a Supreme Court ruling.
“But it has not changed the fact that I’ve been spending the sum of N20,000 for one week, and I’m still spending it. Shoestring budget? Yes, you are right. That’s what it is”
