Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Abdulrahman Ikufioriji Olaitan better known as Oxlade has recounted how giving his Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie his song “Non-living Thing” was the best decision he ever made in his music career.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the ‘Kulosa’ crooner narrated that he gave the song to Sarkodie because the rapper had also given him a song in the past.
He said:
“I was the one who told him that I had a song for him. It was supposed to be on my project. It’s a record I created and I said that this song is meant for Sark. I knew in my heart that the song was meant to be for him. I sang it for him after we did ‘Overdose’.
“He came to Lagos to do promo and I played it for him and he was like, ‘yeah let’s do this.’ After we shot the video the song became one of the biggest songs. I feel like that is one of the best moves I’ve ever made.”
