Revealing celebrity selfies: Selfies in simplest terms are self-portraits. Many of us consider selfies to be a new designation. The term definitely is, but the action is not. That brings us to today’s instant gratification, over-saturated world. We all have love/hate relationships with selfies. On the one hand, many people can’t stand those who are so vain as to take pictures of themselves. People have gone from saying cheese to taking it all off. That’s where the love part comes in. Many people love to see the exposure of others. There is no limit and as it continues to get easier and easier to get better pictures, it has become a race of the inept and so-so talents to gain global attention through self-exposure.

It’s hard to argue with the art. Selfies have contributed greatly to the success of many faux celebrities. It has enabled people who we never would have heard of back in the 1980s (unless of course they got busted for drugs…which most celebrities did back in the 80s) to gain an Internet career filled with pictures of their mostly-naked bodies. And even sometimes, it’s the sexy pictures with tight clothes that bring out the best in these beauties. It’s sensationalism at its best.
