Speaking at the event, he said “How do we fix Nigeria/Africa? Beg the government to give us electricity and basic infrastructure? Of course not! We can learn from nations who have similar socio-economic challenges and defiled the odds to become an economic force. For example India, despite their various challenges, they have developed the new Silicon Valley with their strides in Bangalore – making them the third technology powerhouse in the world. How did they achieve such a remarkable feat? The answer is HUMAN CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT. It’s time for Nigerians to wake up from the sleep of sentiments and enjoy their share of the global technology pie. #JosephIkhaliaQuotes #AfricanForumLondon”
While encouraging young Africans to become more proactive in technology, Joseph said “If you can’t write the codes; develop the models, if you can’t develop the models, recruit the people who can. By all means, find a place within the tech space.”
