Sofia Vergara grew up in Barranquilla Colombia, which is where she began her modeling career. While on the beach in a bikini she was discovered by a photographer, which was the start of her career. At the age of 18, Vergara married her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez and the couple brought a baby boy, Manolo, into the world that same year.
