Rappers at war with the world : To be a popular rapper, it’s almost necessary to have a gargantuan ego. The reason is everyone in this profession is always vying for the top spot and it’s a highly competitive environment. But even with all this ego, testosterone and posturing in effect, there are a couple of rappers who have extraordinary combative personalities.

These select emcees seem to be at war with the world and everyone in it. There comes a point when being confident crosses the line into rude, cocky and uncouth behavior. Here is a list of 10 rappers below who fall into this category. Read on below.

10. Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks might be one of the most talented female rappers operating at the moment, but that doesn’t change the fact that she has a serious attitude problem. In the last few years, the list of rappers and other musicians she’s had beef with include: Lady Gaga, Action Bronson, Jim Jones, T.I., Rita Ora,Iggy Azalea and the list goes on and on. Her passion for her art is definitely laudable, but she definitely needs to turn the intensity down a couple of notches.

9. Joe Budden

The 34-yr-old rapper Joe Budden is one of the most gifted lyricists in the game right now. He’s part of lyrical super-group Slaughterhouse signed to Eminem’s Shady Records and he also has a thriving solo career.

Budden is one rapper who isn’t afraid to voice his opinion about anything that happens in the world. He’s had public beefs with rappers like Consequence, Meek Mill and fellow New Jersey rapper, Ransom. He also has a regular podcast on which he freely lambasts any and everything in the world of pop culture. Nothing is off limits.

8. Gucci Mane

The currently incarcerated rapper Gucci Mane is another volatile rapper who seems to have beefs with nearly everyone. In 2013, he went on a vicious twitter rant that spewed venom at a whole host of stars including: Nicki Minaj, Waka Flocka Flame, T.I., Young Jeezy and more. He even sent some insults to his record label reps at Atlantic Records. Gucci Mane is a loose cannon and everyone in the rap industry knows that.

7. Killer Mike

At this point in his career, Atlanta rapper Killer Mike is one of the most respected emcees in the Hip-Hop game. He has paid his dues in the last decade, and now he’s enjoying the fruits of his labor with his newly formed group, Run The Jewels.

Killer Mike is not one to mince his words, especially when it comes to issues of police violence against young black males and political posturing. One of his favorite punching bags is Bill O’Reilly, the outspoken political pundit on Fox News. He was on the Bill Maher show recently and let the world now how much disdain he had for the conservative media personality.

6. 50 Cent

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson recently filed for bankruptcy, but make no mistake, this shrewd Queens rapper is far from being broke. It’s another cunning move to avoid all the different lawsuits and financial cases he’s currently facing.

Back when 50 Cent was first entering the rap game in 1999, he made a smart chess move by releasing the song “How to Rob.” In it, he talked about robbing the likes of Diddy, Jay-Z, Lil’ Kim, The Rza, DMX,Busta Rhymes and more. Later on in his career, he went to war with other rappers like Ja Rule andRick Ross. 50 Cent is never afraid to take anyone on, and he has become a very rich man as a result of his bold and brash persona.

5. The Game

West Coast rapper The Game is another rapper who seems to enjoy getting into altercations with other artists. To date, he has had issues with 50 Cent, Young Thug, 40 Glocc, Lil’ Durk and the entire 2014 XXL magazine freshman class of rappers (Chance The Rapper, Kevin Gates, etc). In addition to that, he also happens to be one of the most obnoxious name-dropping rappers alive. So yes, he does happen to be one of the most popular rappers in the game, but that doesn’t make him any less annoying.

4. Tyler The Creator

West Coast rapper Tyler The Creator is an emcee who certainly marches to his own drum. About five years ago, his rap collective Odd Future rose to the very top of the rap game. Since then, his popularity has decreased considerably, but he has still managed to engage in social media beefs with a wide array of celebs. Some of Tyler’s social media adversaries include Schoolboy Q, Will.I.Am, Lorde, Miley Cyrusand even the legend himself, Eminem. He’s probably one of those spontaneous individuals who acts first and then thinks later.

3. Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi is a uniquely gifted rapper and he’s made a successful career for himself by tapping into the vein of youth angst. Perhaps this is a trait he learned from his mentor Kanye West because he was signed to Mr. West’s label for many years.

Over the years, Cudi has had beefs with rappers like Lupe Fiasco and more recently, he took a shot at NYC radio personality Angie Martinez. He unearthed a 2009 interview in which Martinez poked fun at him for wearing skinny jeans and he tweeted his anger over it. Don’t ever diss Cudi and think it’s water under the bridge. This guy doesn’t forget a thing.

2. MGK

The 25-yr-old rapper MGK hails from Cleveland, Ohio and he has a huge chip on his shoulder. He is fiercely protective over his home city and he made his feelings very clear about how much he hatedLebron James for leaving Cleveland to play for the Miami Heat.

He has also gotten into beefs with other rappers in the game like Yelawolf & Travis Scott. He is currently dating Amber Rose, the former main squeeze of both Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa. Maybe she will be able to tone down his edge and anger just a little bit.

There’s no doubt about it – Kanye West is certainly a musical genius. But we can all admit that his pretentious attitude and cocky persona far outweigh his merits in the studio.

The list of unacceptable acts he has done is a long one indeed: interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMA’s, claiming that Beck isn’t a real artist, acting like a total jerk with radio personality Sway, going on those ridiculous self-aggrandizing rants at his concerts, flaming up at Jimmy Kimmel and so on and so forth. He might just be the perfect epitome of a crazy genius.
