Celeb families who wish they were the Kardashians : Let’s face it, whether you watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians faithfully or change the channel every time you see a member of the Kardashian family on TV, you can’t deny their fame and success. Most members of the family are millionaires, and while you may not agree with the way that some of them came into fame, there’s a pretty significant section of the world that loves them.

The Kardashians are constantly in the news for a myriad of reasons. Robert Kardashian rose to fame when he was part of the legal team in the O.J. Simpson trial. He has since passed away, but his family continues to make headlines due to sex tapes, marriages, babies, divorces, modeling, business ventures, and the list goes on. Perhaps the most shocking story to hit the media was when Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian revealed to Kris (the Kardashian matriarch), that he wanted to be a woman. He has since undergone gender reassignment surgery and now goes by Caitlyn.

Even though you may not realize it, there are other celebrity families in Hollywood who are working hard, making money and still maintaining a certain level of substantial fame. However, we can’t help but wonder if maybe these families wish they had a fraction of the Kardashian fame. Here are 10 celebrity families who wish they were the Kardashians.

10. The Chrisley’s Todd Chrisley and his family star in the USA Network reality show Chrisley Knows Best . Chrisley is a millionaire living in the Atlanta area, and is portrayed as a strict father who doesn’t let his children get everything they want just because the family is wealthy. The show has a following, but it’s nowhere near as popular as the reality show and spin-offs starring the Kardashians. While the reality show does have some key elements, like a divorce (Chrisley’s second wife stars with him on the show), lots of kids, a sassy older family member (Chrisley’s mother) and a new baby (his son has a child), it could stand to be a little more entertaining. Of course, Todd Chrisley would probably deny that he wants to be anything like the Kardashians, since it seems like he wants to control most aspects of his children’s lives.

9. The Jonas Family Even though the Jonas Brothers are no longer a band, they’re still making professional moves that attract the media to their family. Maybe they’re sending a message to the public that the Kardashians aren’t the only beautiful, dark-haired family that can have a reality show. Married to Jonas , which chronicles the marriage of oldest Jonas brother Kevin, and his wife Dani, airs on the E! Network, which is the same network where you can catch Keeping Up With The Kardashians . The Jonas family has even had a minor amount of scandal, when Nick Jonas admitted he wasn’t a virgin anymore and Joe went to rehab for substance abuse issues. Various members of the Jonas family make an appearance on the show often, including Kevin’s brothers and former bandmates.

8. The Mowry’s Twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry are still well-known for their popular 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister . They also starred in their own reality show from 2011 to 2013. Maybe they figured they’d see if the “celebrity family on reality TV” formula worked for them. It seems like the twins were willing to give the show another season, but they stated that their husbands would rather lead more private lives. Tia and Tamera also have two brothers. One of them, Tahj, is also an actor, and stars on the ABC Family comedy Baby Daddy . The Mowry’s have been known for their squeaky-clean image almost as much as their acting talent, so it’s likely they only wanted to be like the Kardashians in the financial sense. After all, there was a few years when they were out of the spotlight.

7. The Hogan Family The Hogan family had a reality show on VH1 from 2005 to 2007, called Hogan Knows Best . This may not have been the right title for the show. Retired pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda, divorced after the show, and she got into a relationship with a guy who was her son’s age. Hulk Hogan was also seen rubbing sunblock on his daughter Brooke’s thighs, and posting a picture of her in a mini skirt on social media, telling guys to check out her legs. Nick Hogan (Hulk and Linda’s son) spent time in jail for getting into a serious accident while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The passenger in the car now needs 24-hour care. It’s probably best that the Hogan family spends some years out of the spotlight.

The Wahlbergs are a large family from Boston. Donnie is one of the founding members of New Kids On The Block, and Mark is a model and actor. Donnie also made headlines recently for marrying TV host and actress Jenny McCarthy, and he stars in a new reality show with his wife called Donnie Loves Jenny . The Wahlbergs family also starred in a reality show called Wahlburgers , which was about the restaurant that the family owns. The show airs on A&E, and showcases some of the family members who are not always in the spotlight. Unfortunately, some people still remember a few of the Wahlberg brothers for the trouble they used to get into. Maybe the Wahlbergs should take a page from the Kardashian book and use scandal to make them even more famous.

5. The Simpsons Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are both known for their singing careers. They are also known for their relationships. Jessica was once married to 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey, and the two had a reality show on VH1. When they divorced, Simpson went on to have relationships with John Mayer and Tony Romo, and eventually married retired football player Eric Johnson, with whom she has two children with. Ashlee was once married to rocker Pete Wentz, and the two have a son together. She is now married to Evan Ross (Diana Ross’ son). Jessica and Ashlee’s father Joe, was married to their mother for decades, until he realized he was gay. Joe also managed his daughter’s careers and had a large hand in their music success. Tina, the mother of the family, is now engaged to someone else. Sounds like a great reality show. Maybe the Simpsons are wondering why they haven’t reached Kardashian-level fame yet.

4. The Simmons Rev Run, one of the founding members of Run DMC, is still in the spotlight due to his reality shows. He and his wife Justine have a show on HGTV to chronicle their home renovations, and the couple also have a Cooking Channel show that depicts their weekly Sunday suppers. One of the daughters in the Simmons family, Angela, is known for making it clear that she wants to wait to have sex until marriage. Her older sister Vanessa recently had a baby with her long-term boyfriend. Diggy, one of the sons in the family, is a rapper and actor who is quite the heartthrob. Jojo, another one of the Simmons sons, was caught a few years ago with marijuana in his car. Obviously this family has a lot of interesting things going on here. However, it just doesn’t look like people are obsessed with them. Maybe if a member of the Simmons family engaged in a sexier scandal, they’d get close to the fame (and money) that is common for a Kardashian these days.

3. The Carters In 2006, singers and brothers Nick and Aaron Carter appeared on a reality show with their family for one season. The show was called House of Carters , and featured the Carter sisters Leslie, B.J. and Angel. The Carter siblings chronicled their love lives and careers on the show, while displaying the ins and outs of their family relationships. Those who were fans of Aaron or Nick (who is a member of the Backstreet Boys) tuned in, but the E! Network just wasn’t giving the family that coveted Kardashian magic to make the show succeed. Unfortunately, Leslie Carter passed away in 2012, due to a drug overdose, so the family was likely relieved to have their privacy during the tragedy.

Lindsay Lohan, along with her mom and younger sister, starred in a reality show on E! for one season in 2008. The show was called Living Lohan , and was filmed at the height of Lindsay’s legal issues. It seems as though Lohan thought that a reality show would keep people interested in her life. Maybe she thought people would have a change of heart about her, after seeing her softer side(s) on the reality show. Things didn’t quite turn out that way. The show also focused on Dina, the mother of the family, trying to get little sister Ali’s modeling career off the ground. A few years later (in 2012) Dina was arrested for a DUI. Lindsay went on to film a docu-series for the OWN Network. Again, nothing the family did garnered the same amount of fame as it would have if a Kardashian did it. It looks like the Lohans have given up on reality TV for now, at least.

1. The Osbourne Family The Osbournes were actually the first family to have a reality show. Their groundbreaking feat aired on MTV in the early 2000s. Since then, the family has been through their share of drama. Kelly had a short-lived music career and was a host on E! Network’s Fashion Police . Jack overcame a battle with drug addiction and is now married with two children. Sharon Osbourne even had her own talk show for a while and is currently a co-host on the CBS show The Talk . Ozzy, the patriarch of the family, rarely makes television appearances these days, but is still considered a rock legend. Sharon is known for her snarky remarks, and passed this trait to her daughter Kelly, who has had her share of celebrity spats, as well. Sharon has also expressed her dislike for Kris Jenner and her parenting choices. Maybe she’d have less to say if the Osbournes still had a reality show.
