The Grudge involves demonizing ghosts looking to get back to this life, and they tend to be completely white and possessive of dead, hollow eyes. They are often bloodied, too. The story revolves around Toshio, the dead son of a now cursed family, and every time he pops up, it’s terrifying. The remake is fine, but the original is truly scary, especially when Toshio wanders on screen and opens his mouth.
