9. Hungarian Puli
The Hungarian Puli is widely recognized for its resemblance to your everyday household mop. The breed’s fur grows naturally into a dreadlocked shape, making the dog almost impossible to bathe or groom unless you’re interested in having a wet animal run around your home for days. A puppy costs about $800 and this breed can weigh up to 35 pounds, living until fourteen years old. They’re known for being alert and intelligent and are often used as guard or herd dogs. Make sure you factor in a budget for yearly grooming sessions – unless you want to attempt it yourself.
