4. Shania Twain
Shania Twain is one of the original queens of country, and she clawed her way up from the bottom. Twain got her start singing in bars when she was still a child, trying to earn some money for her family, and her talent soon got her noticed. She released three albums in the 1990s, including hits like “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” “Come On Over,” “Forever and For Always,” “Any Man of Mine,” “I’m Gonna Getcha Good!” and many, many more. Nearly a decade after her latest album, she scored a gig performing a residency in Las Vegas with her popular show Shania: Still The One. Now, over twenty years since she released her debut album, she’s embarked on another tour and it’s selling out venues across the continent. That’s lasting power.
