1. Mayim Bialik Actually Has a PhD
Mayim Bialik is not only an actress, mother, and Certified Lactation Educator Counselor, she is also a neurobiologist. She was born in San Diego, California, the daughter of first generation Jewish American documentary filmmakers and teachers.
After earning her BS from UCLA in Neuroscience and Hebrew & Jewish studies, she eventually went on to pursue her Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Her research focused on the role of oxytocin and vasopressin in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in teenagers with Prader-Willi syndrome. She completed her doctorate in 2007.
