6. Both Sheldon and Jim Parsons Are From Texas

Sheldon Cooper was born in Galveston, Texas in 1980. Throughout the series, Sheldon mimics Texan mannerisms as he was misunderstood and constantly bullied while growing up.

Interestingly enough, the actor who plays Sheldon, Jim Parsons, also grew up in Texas. He was born on March 24^th, 1973 in Houston. He stayed in Texas until getting his Bachelor’s degree and moved to California to pursue his Master’s degree.
