The Canadian game show host got quite a scare when someone attempted to burglarize his hotel room.Alex Trebek, who is best known as the long-running host of Jeopardy, likely gave the burglar quite a surprise as well, when he chased the criminal out of his room. The woman had been in the room before, and took cash and a bracelet that Trebek’s mother gave him. Unfortunately, Trebek tore his Achilles tendon in the process of apprehending the thief, but it could have been much worse. Alex also assisted in the burglar’s arrest. The incident took place in San Francisco, since Trebek was there to host the National Geographic World Championship.
