4. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Like Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will come out in 2016 – a year filled to the brim with comic book movies. This particular instalment hits theatres in March and, in spite of what some people might believe, it is in fact a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel and will be the second movie in DC and Warner Brothers’ new cinematic universe.
Man of Steel earned $668 million having cost $225 million to make, but was deemed successful enough to warrant it kicking off a new franchise. The sequel will see Superman meeting – and taking on – Batman for the first time in a live action movie and, given that they are the two most popular comic book characters of all time, it’s one hell of a big deal and one that is exciting fans a lot (in spite of the fact that they were pretty miffed when Ben Affleck was originally cast as the Dark Knight).
