7. Deflate-gate
Tom Brady and his New England Patriots got scorched early in 2015, as they were accused of using deflated balls to beat the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC. Needless to say, the incident took a turn for the worst and made Brady look like a cheater. The patriots received a huge punishment that included a $1 million fine. They lost their first round and fourth round picks, and their king Brady was suspended for 4 games. Obviously people are not happy about this; but, the NFL is stating that they are punishing the team for lying, and not for knowingly playing with deflated balls. Either way, Brady got the grunt of the punishment and no one is happy about that.
