Dick Cheney was a strongly polarizing politician throughout much of his career and as Vice President of the United States, it was clear he had some serious health issues. He had a pacemaker for many years while serving in office, but in 2011 had a heart transplant. He appears to be doing much better in the health department in recent years, gearing up to make his voice heard in the next presidential election.
