Friend and other iconic musicianPhil Collins paid for his liver transplant. David Crosby had long battled alcoholism, which led to cirrhosis of the liver and the need for a new one. Fortunately for him and millions of his fans around the world, the procedure was successful and he began taking better care of his health, too.
