Nemcova is a Czech-born model who burst onto the scene after winning the 1995 Czech Elite Model Look. She moved to Milan where her modeling career flourished, her photos featured all across the world on magazines. She was featured by many designers and made a legendary cover appearance in 2003 on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition to her modeling, Nemcova started the Happy Hearts Fund (HHF), a charitable organization and campaign formed after the 2004 Tsunami in Thailand that claimed her boyfriend Simon Atlee. Nemcova had suffered serious injuries but hung onto a tree with her dear life for 8 hours until help arrived.
