The days of our modern action heroes sporting huge muscles and automatic weapons are slowly dying in favor of action heroes that don cool costumes and possess superhuman powers.

On top of all this, who hasn’t wanted to be a superhero? We’ve finally arrived far enough in the industry to make these outlandish comic book feats look convincing on the big screen. There are now a number of actors out there that believe they’d be exceptional in one of these roles, and some have been more vocal about it than others.

10. Bryce Dallas Howard This seasoned actress has recently come into Hollywood’s large scope from her recent role in the highly successful Jurassic World film, where she shared screen time with Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt.

With the hunt for the Captain Marvel actress narrowing down, this red headed beauty has recently put her bid in for taking on that role. When asked by Cinema Blend on her interest for the part, she eagerly responded, “oh my God, will you write that? Will you write that please? Yes, let’s start a campaign now. That would be rad.”

While DC Warner Bros. have revealed news of Dwayne Johnson‘s portrayal of Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam! movie, the actor to take on the title role has yet to be announced. Online, Brandon Molale states that nothing has been finalized, yet he’d gladly accept the honor to portray the superhero.

During a panel at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, the actor revealed his interest in portraying Booster Gold, a less notable character in the DC Universe, yet strangely appropriate for him to portray.

“I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That’s kind of my niche… show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that… not too bright.”
