Most beautiful faces in Hollywood : Lists like these are the scorn of public interest groups who feel that intellect and actions should be celebrated over beauty. They are probably right, but we are all human after all. We don’t always do what we know is right. Beauty in all of its forms from houses, furniture, people and clothes are the things that drive our desires.

As such, beautiful people (especially beautiful facial features) are always celebrated. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it is guaranteed that few to no people in this world will agree with all 15 choices on this list. So how are the choices made? A combination of scientific research (i.e polls), computer generated results from previous studies and good old fashioned personal opinion to fill in the gaps. The world is huge so the range is limited to those people well known to us, Hollywood celebrities.

Let us start with the basic tool that science has to gauge personal opinion with, the poll. The poll used in this article comes from HollywoodBuzz , mainly because it is one of the most recent poll on the web and as you know, people are fickle so getting older polls has no merit. Over the course of 2014, 4 million people voted on its web-site selecting who they thought was Hollywood’s most beautiful person. The poll doesn’t really focus on the face, but the perception of beauty starts there. It may sound like this poll should be accurate with its enormous amount of voters, but keep in mind, this is not a controlled poll. For example some people can vote twice if they try hard enough etc..

The second source of data is a recently released study that came out of the UK which determines the facial features that Brits find attractive. In essence, 100 people were polled/questioned to pick out various facial features that they found attractive. The results were sent into a profiling software normally used by the police to catch criminals. This software then generated the celebrities that matched the ideal profile. The celebrity pictures were then shown again to 100 people who picked the most attractive of them all. Obviously there are flaws in the study. First off it only used UK citizens. Secondly it takes about 1000 specifically screened people to generate a relatively accurate poll that is off by a few percentage points. This study only has 100 participants. Anyway if your interested, according to the study the perfect female face has full lips, a small nose, almond shaped eyes, arched eyebrows and a heart shaped face. Admittedly when it comes to perception, science is no match for people’s judgement of something as subjective as beauty. What part of this article is personal opinion? Selecting 15 of the 45 celebrities listed in these sources. Anyone making both of these lists is obviously included higher up.
