Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall actually played adoptive siblings on the creepy yet addictive series Dexter, which centered around a somewhat lovable serial killer. There was no denying that the two actors were falling in love, and they decided to tie the knot in 2008. They divorced three years later, but Dexter was still a huge hit at the time, so Hall and Carpenter had to keep showing up to work and pretending that everything was great. Carpenter also appeared on the show The Good Wife, and made her stage debut in the play Gruesome Playground Injuries. Hall appeared in another eerie drama, Six Feet Under, before starring in Dexter, and also starred in the independent movie Kill Your Darlings.
