Just as when it seemed as if it was a formality that Ronda Rousey was going to retire from the Ultimate Fighting Championship as an undefeated fighter, Rousey was surprisingly knocked out by Holly Holm in November. That one loss does not, of course, eliminate any part of the celebrity status that Rousey has acquired during her career. The result of that fight, if anything, will mean only more money for Rousey and for the UFC once she returns to the sport for a rematch with Holm. Rousey will definitely be one of the most talked about people in the world for 2016.
