9. Meg Ryan
Meg Ryan just sort of fell into her career as an actress. She originally wanted to become a journalist, first studying at the University of Connecticut and then at New York University, which sparked her acting career. When Ryan moved to New York, she began taking small parts in television commercials to make some extra spending money while she attended university. To her surpris,e she began to take a liking to the whole acting scene, which led to her dropping out of college a semester before she would have graduated. As we all know, everything worked out for Ryan; she became a shoe-in for romantic comedies, starring in classics like When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle, where she was lucky enough to work alongside Tom Hanks in both films.
