7. Rickman Was A Graphic Designer
It can be easy to sit at home and say how much you wish you were an actor, even more so when you think about the pay cheques that they get to take home. When Rickman was 18 and graduating high school, he had more logical ideas for himself than to try and make it as an actor. As a result, Rickman and some of his friends opened up their own graphic design studio, entitled Graphiti. It was after 3 years in the business that Rickman decided to finally take the leap into acting, stating “Drama school wasn’t considered the sensible thing to do at 18” but decided it was now or never, so he applied (and was accepted) to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
