4. Tribal
Tribal print and gimmicky tribal fashion were kind of the joke of the fashion world in 2015. True to form, the tribal concept came on strong, hitting the runways internationally in bold and statement-making style. However, tribal never really made its full debut in stores across America. Fashion buyers weren’t buying it because they knew most women with any fashion awareness at all wouldn’t be wearing it. At least if you want it, it should be cheap because tribal wear is being marked down until they’re essentially giving it away at outlets like Marshalls and TJ Max. To put it to point, tribal-inspired fashion was an insult to every true fashionista’s fashion sense and so, tribal was axed, arrowed and scalped as out, out, out!
3. Rainbow Trend
The staying power of the rainbow trend is baffiling. Especially when you consider it might as well be described as someone straddling a rainbow. No one is sure if the rainbow is going to disappear or if fashion designers will ultimately find the pot of gold that’s supposedly on the other side of it. Rainbows are fun and the concept behind them is freeing, but where does one wear a rainbow outfit outside of rave or black light party? A girl can maybe get away with a rainbow stripe at the beach, on a summer day short or at if she’s pushing retail at the mall, but anything more than a touch of rainbow has (or will have) most women looking like clowns instead of the fashion forward human beings they are aspiring to be. The rainbows are probably best kept for your unicorns ladies.
