3. Wolf Fish
These fish are some of the scariest you will ever encounter. When you first hear the name, a fish and a wolf combined don’t really make sense, but it isn’t the fish’s appearance which gives it its ferocious name. The Wolf Fish has been known to many as a brave and fearless fish when it comes to catching its prey. Some fisherman have even noted that they’ve witnessed these fish jumping into their canoes in order to catch their prey. At first the fish doesn’t appear to be any type of threat, but after they open their mouth, you realize you’re in for trouble. A lining of sharp teeth lie within the Wolf Fish’s mouth. And while they aren’t known to always be aggressive, they certainly have their moments. Weighing in over thirty pounds, these fish mean business. An encounter with these fish in the wild requires extra caution, especially when traveling in a canoe down the river.
