Yet, sometimes family connections can be detrimental to a career, as it is often impossible to escape the shadow of a famous family member, so it makes sense that some would remain hidden.
When we recently discovered that some famous people we’d followed for years had relatives in show business we were pretty blown away. Reflecting on our astonishment, we came to the conclusion that we couldn’t be the only ones that had no idea how these people have connections to others they’ve known for years.
With that in mind, we thought it’d be fun to bring to you, our highly valued readers, a list of the 15 celebrities you didn’t know had kids in show business. If that appeals to you, and it should considering you’re more than likely going to be in for some real surprises, then you’ll be happy you read on.
In order for a celebrity to be considered for placement on this list they first need to be well-known, at least to a significant portion of society. Secondly, they need to have children who’ve begun to make a living in show business. That said, we are limiting ourselves to kids who’ve taken on a more public role.
Don’t get us wrong, everyone involved in the creation of a movie or TV show, for instance, plays a role in the production, but if we include kids of celebrities who are working as a PA, this list would be endless. Additionally, we don’t think that many people will find incidences like those all that interesting, and it is always our goal to give our readers a fun and entertaining read.
Please keep in mind that we can’t be certain that you will be unaware of all the children of celebrities we are about to list, as everyone’s knowledge base is different, but we do think that you will be surprised by some of them. Now that the rules are outlined, let’s take a look at some famous people and their kids.
13. Jack Nicholson
One of the most respected actors of all-time, Jack Nicholson is the most nominated male actor in the history of the Academy Awards due to the staggering twelve times he was in the running. Best known for roles in movies like Easy Rider, Chinatown, Batman, A Few Good Men, As Good As It Gets and The Departed, he was someone that directors dreamed of getting involved in their projects.
Hopefully, his daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, will have the same fortune before too long. While two of Jack’s other kids tried their hands at acting briefly, both appearing in a couple of projects, she is the only one who has made a career for herself. Debuting in her father’s film, Something’s Gotta Give, she has appeared in eleven films to date, including Soul Surfer in which she played the starring role.
