Roger Federer is a professional tennis player who has managed to keep himself afloat in today’s competitive world. Federer first went pro in 1998, and has since then been considered as one of the most valued tennis players of all time.
He is ranked as the world’s number 16 player by the Association of Tennis Professionals, and has continuously been placed in the top 10 of his league since 2002. Amongst his many accomplishments, Federer held the number one position in his field for 302 weeks, won 17 Grand Slam singles titles and is the only male tennis player to win 5 US Open titles in a row.
All in all, Federer has won over 88 competitions, 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal (in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics).
In 2016, Federer’s income totalled to about $68 million. The professional Swiss tennis player earned $7.8 million from competitions and another $60 million from endorsements.
