Frankly, she seems like a female David Bowie, everything she does is OTT and is meant to be just that. From Harakuku wigs to the really strange shade of pink lipstick, Nicki Minaj is as much a fashion icon as she’s a diva and MTV as well as Rolling Stones have called her one of the most influential female rappers of all time. With pin straight hair, cat eyes, and otherwise subdued makeup, Nicki pulls off the sheer gold gown by Labourjoisie with pearl accents and an built-in skin tone slip with a sassy elegance that few could match. The bodycon sheer dress is a Balmain design which Nicki paired with Alexander McQueen boots for an SNL appearance. 14. Bella Hadid: Part of the #FreeTheNipple Brigade Bella Hadid is not just Gigi Hadid’s younger sister but a supermodel in her own right. The black gown that seems to be lacking in the underwear department is by Marchesa and truly a breathtaking lacy affair that does not have any room for lingerie – though it has a high neck and a floor length skirt. The other picture shows a braless Chrissy walking down the streets of Paris to a party, wearing not much more than a gorgeous deep berry lipstick, plenty of sass, and an embellished Armani! 11. Kim Kardashian: What’s A Sheer Dress After A Sex Tape? Yep, that just about sums it all. Since Kim K managed to strategically bare herself to the world via a sex tape, nude Instagram selfies, and of course, plenty of nude editorial shoots, a sheer dress is no big Jose for her. And frankly, the woman couldn’t give a hoot when it comes to her trollers and haters and clearly says that she is proud of her body and it empowers her. And with a doting husband like Kanye West, Kim K is free to wear and bare as she pleases. The OTT white gown was a custom made Roberto Cavalli by Peter Dundas, and it did shake the Internet again, in true Kim K style. The LBD, or rather the sheer bodysuit, whatever you want to call it, certainly took the spotlight away from the dapperly dressed Kanye and put it where it belonged, on Kim, and there it stayed. 10. Rita Ora: A Dress Less Ordinary She is certainly a star, with her powerhouse vocals and Billboard hits, but her fashion choices are as much in the public eye as is her singing. Her love for sheer and other equally sexy outfits has long made her a blogger’s dream – there is always something to write about her. Sheer and black seem to go hand in hand as far as Rita Ora is concerned and these two gowns do not disappoint. The first pic has her preening in a very risqué black sheer outfit that leaves her nearly naked on the red carpet – something she is clearly revelling in, in her Donna Karen Atelier dress. The second pic is Rita Ora in sheer black again, though in a flouncier style. The hair is straight and sweptback but left loose rather than in a bun, and the dress itself, though no less lacy, is a far cry from the near nakedness of the first one. 9. Beyoncé: Twinning Now, In Sheer Before So Beyoncé and Jay Z have just broke the Internet with their twinning news and the Internet is burning up, as are the trolls. That said, Beyoncé is clearly the queen of music, as she just proved with her gravity-defying chair stunt at the 2017 Grammys, her twinning bump notwithstanding. At the 2015 Met Gala, Beyoncé rocked the red carpet in a crystal-studded Givenchy gown that sort of swept all the other “over-dressed” celebs under the red carpet, so to speak. Rosie stuns in a lingerie-inspired, barely there sheer black dress that let the world view her stunning body from just about anywhere and everywhere. The sheerness ensured Rosie wore it sans bra and while her modesty was covered with hotpants, the dress did little to hide her excellent measurements. Lady Gaga: So In Love With Her Fans So Lady Gaga aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is no stranger to fame, pun intended.
