Tout Puissant Mazembe was founded in 1939 and is currently based in Lubumbashi in the DRC. They have won the national league 15 times and the national cup 5 times. They are currently the strongest league team in the Congo winning it in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. However their last cup win was back in 2000!
TP Mazembe has been extremely successful in international football in the last few years. Winning the CAF Champions League in 2009, 2010, 2015, the CAF Confederations Cup in 2016, the CAF Super Cup in 2010, 2011 and 2016. Arguably their biggest success was ending in second place in the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, losing to Internazionale in the final match. TP Mazembe is certainly one of the best football clubs in Africa!
