Some got married to their sweethearts while some others welcomed their bundles of joy. The year 2017 was also amazing for majority of Nigerian music stars and actors as some of them did not only walk down the aisle but delved into other lucrative businesses, won several awards.

On Tuesday, July 9, popular Nigerian musician Paul Okoye and his wife Anita welcomed their twin babies. The couple delivered a baby boy and a girl in Atlanta, United States (US). On Sunday, December 3, the couple dedicated their twin babies Nathan and Nadia at a beautiful church ceremony which was attended by top families and friends.

The couple already have a 4-year-old son named Andre who is as cute as he can be. The couple got engaged in September 2013 after welcoming their first child four months earlier. They finally sealed it up with a court wedding in January 2015.

2. Singer Wizkid and manager:

On Monday, November 20, it was reported that the CEO of Starboy music group Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid welcomed his third baby from his London based manager, Jada Pollock.

Initially the music star kept quiet about his new baby but later took to his Twitter handle to confirm the arrival of his son. Wizkid named him Zion Ayo-Balogun. In all, the singer has three sons from different women.

3. Laura Ikeji and Ogbonna Kanu:

On Thursday, July 20, Linda Ikeji’s sister Laura and husband Ogbonna Kanu welcomed their first baby, Ryan in America.

It could be recalled that the fashion entrepreneur and husband walked down the aisle in a fancy wedding early 2017. Both mother and son are back into the industry and it is obvious that Laura is basking in the joys of motherhood.

4. Dolapo Oni and Adegbite Sijuwade:

On Saturday, August 26, talented media personality and Tinsel actress Dolapo Marcy Oni and husband, Prince Adegbite Sijuwade welcomed their first baby in the United Kingdom.

The couple tied the knot on October 10, 2015 and they have not only been enjoying marital bliss but also rocking parenthood. They are back in Nigeria and living together like a big family.

5. Actress Mary and Jason Njoku:

Mary Remmy-Njoku is not just an actress but a movie producer and director. She is also the CEO of ROK studio while her husband, Jason owns Iroko TV. The couple welcomed their third baby, girl, named Nkechi together on Friday, August 4. The actress was reported to have given birth to her second daughter at St Thomas Hospital in London. They welcomed their first son, Jason Obinna Njoku, on 30 July, 2013 and a second child, Nwakaego Annabel Njoku, was born on 24 August, 2015.

6. Freda Francis:

Popularly known to be the former girlfriend of singer Iyanya, Freda Francis on Sunday, August 13, gave birth to her baby boy Alexander in America. However, the CEO of Oasis Medspa is yet to reveal the father of her handsome little man but she is surely enjoying motherhood.

7. Actress Sandra Achums:

The very popular and veteran actress who couldn’t hide her joy over the arrival of the baby, Ryan took to her Instagram account on Monday, November 13, where she posted a picture of the very cute baby.

8. Actress Mimi Orijekwe:

On Tuesday, April 3, beautiful actress Mimi Orijekwe took to her social media handle to announce the arrival of her baby. Without wasting much time, the actress was seen rocking a waist trainer as she can’t wait to get back in shape.

However, Orijekwe is no longer married to estranged husband Charles Billion after she found out he had other baby mamas.

9. Actress Uche Nnanna:

On Wednesday, October 18, Nollywood actress Uche Nnanna-Maduka gave birth to her second baby in the United States of America (USA). Uche got married to Richard Uchechukwu Maduka in 2014 and had their first child, Kamsi Maduka, who clocked two in February 2017.

10. Singer D’banj:

On Friday, May 26, it was all over social media that famous and talented Nigerian music star, D’banj and his beautiful wife Lineo Didi Kilgrow welcomed his first baby.

The post garnered lots of reactions in few minutes that he posted it. The new baby, Daniel, also has an Instagram page and he already has a handful of followers.

Counting his blessings before the end of 2017, is talented Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon on Monday, December 18, welcomed another bundle of joy in the United States. The proud father took to his Instagram handle to share the news. His wife gave birth to a baby boy.

12. Late actress Moji Olaiya:

Late Nollywood actress Mojisola Olaiya on Friday, March 17, delivered her second baby girl in the United States. Unfortunately the actress died two months after giving birth. Olaiya was said to have given birth 18 years after she welcomed her first daughter, Adunola.
