A 35-year-old Nigerian woman, Success James, has been convicted for luring four teenage girls and using them as s*x workers in Agbor, Delta state.
She was convicted at a Chief Magistrate Court, in Awka, Anambra state over the crime.
The woman was arrested after the four girls known for being s*x workers were confronted in Onitsha by the commissioner of women’s affairs in Anambra state, Mrs Ify Obinabo.
The girls confessed that one Madam Success lured them into prostitution by promising them a job at a restaurant in Agbor where they would be selling drinks at a beer joint.
They followed her to Agbor only for them to discover that the actual job was being a s*x worker.
The victims were rescued from her brothel, while the convict was arrested and prosecuted before the court and was charged with 8 criminal offences, some of which were sexual exploitation, child labour, and child stealing. She was found guilty of 7 charges and was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment.
