Controversial Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington has credited himself as the inspiring force behind Naira Marley’s decision to pursue music.

He claimed that for many years, he has served as an inspiration to many musicians, and that, even before the ‘Tesumole’ singer made his debut, he was already a viral success.

According to the US-based musician, Naira Marley was not in the music space in 2015 or 2016 when he was making songs and videos on a steady.

Naira Marley hit the limelight in 2017 with his first hit song ‘Issa Goal’ which featured Olamide and Lil Kesh. However in 2019, his fraud themed single ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ finally brought him the spotlight in the Nigerian music industry.

In a video making the rounds online, Speed Darlington stated he is also the progenitor of Zanku but it was stolen from him and popularized.
