Cynthia Morgan, the Nigerian rapper and singer also known as Madrina, recently shared some words of advice for veteran actor Pete Edochie.
This came after Pete Edochie’s encounter with the Ooni of Ife, which was deemed disrespectful by some social media users. Cynthia Morgan urged Pete Edochie to understand the importance of respecting other people’s traditions.
Acknowledging the veteran actor’s esteemed reputation and the high level of respect he commands, Cynthia Morgan emphasized the significance of reciprocating that respect by honoring the traditions and beliefs of others.
She believed that Pete Edochie, being a prominent figure, should set an example in promoting mutual respect among diverse cultures and traditions.
In her words;
“I like the fact that Pete Edochie’s tradition is being respected today and I hope he learns to respect other people’s traditions too moving forward. i.e. (that is) That Benin woman cannot give a common or a titled Ibo man an “Osiba” for no just reason. Unlike when he forced me to give him an Osiba in 2016 in Okrika precisely. Cheers”.
