The Federal Government has issued an order to close the roads connecting the Federal Secretariat Complexes of Phase I, II, III, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2 pm on Friday, May 26, until Monday, May 29.
Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, the Permanent Secretary of the Service Welfare Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), made this announcement in a circular on Friday in Abuja.
Onwudiwe stated that this order aligns with the security arrangements put in place by the Presidential Transition Council (PTC) to ensure the smooth execution of the inauguration parade for the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 29.
“Consequently, officers and visitors planning to access the affected areas will not be granted entry until Tuesday, May 30, when work will resume in full,” the circular stated.
Tinubu, along with Senator Kashim Shettima, will take the oath of office as President and Vice-President, respectively, on Monday.
